SEGA Announces Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition Without PS5 Release
At the recent Warhammer Skulls 2025 event, SEGA officially announced a full remaster of the 2011 classic action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, titled the Master Crafted Edition. The remaster is a joint effort between Sneaky Box and Relic Entertainment, and it’s set to release on June 10, 2025,.
The game will launch on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and will also be available on Game Pass from day one. However, the biggest surprise wasn’t in the upgrades—it was in what wasn’t announced: No PS5 version was mentioned at all, sparking immediate questions in the gaming community.
As for the upgrades, the Master Crafted Edition is far from a visual patch. It delivers major enhancements across the board:
Full 4K resolution support
Updated textures, models, and environment details
Completely redesigned UI for modern screens
Enhanced and smoother control system
Revamped audio design for a more immersive battle atmosphere
In addition, the edition will include all DLC content from the original release, such as:
Chaos Unleashed Map Pack
Dreadnought Assault
All golden weapons, armor sets, and chapter-based faction packs
This makes it a perfect edition for both returning players and newcomers exploring the Warhammer universe for the first time.
A key new feature is the expanded multiplayer mode, offering 8v8 online matches with cross-platform support to keep lobbies full and active. Players can customize their class (Tactical, Assault, or Devastator) and earn XP to unlock new gear and abilities.
The lack of a PS5 version stands out more than anything else.
Is there a timed exclusive deal?
Or will Sony's version be announced later?
As of now, SEGA hasn’t commented, but the silence is noticeable.
