Major Assassin’s Creed Hexe Leak Reveals Dark Setting, Advanced Stealth, and June 2027 Release Window
A massive new leak has surfaced for Assassin’s Creed Hexe, revealing what could be Ubisoft's darkest entry in the franchise to date. The information, shared by well-known Ubisoft data miner RogueTx, outlines major details about the game's setting, gameplay systems, stealth mechanics, and planned release window.
As with all leaks, none of the following information has been officially confirmed by Ubisoft and should be treated as rumor until an official announcement is made.
A Dark Tale Set During the Witch Trials
According to the leak, Assassin’s Creed Hexe takes place during the infamous German witch trials, with players taking control of a young protagonist named Anika.
The world is said to feature a large map with a more focused and linear progression than recent Assassin's Creed titles. Players will explore vast forests, isolated villages, and small towns, creating a tense atmosphere built around mystery and survival.
Classic Stealth Returns with Modern Improvements
The leak claims movement has been significantly refined, bringing back the fluid parkour and stealth-focused gameplay of the franchise's earlier entries while introducing smoother animations and more advanced traversal mechanics.
Combat and assassination animations have also reportedly received substantial upgrades, making encounters more dynamic and cinematic.
Fear Becomes a Gameplay Mechanic
One of the most interesting additions is a new Fear System, inspired by the Jack the Ripper expansion for Assassin's Creed Syndicate. Enemies and civilians may panic, flee, or even fire weapons randomly when frightened.
NPC behavior has also been expanded, with villagers becoming increasingly suspicious of strangers, making stealth and infiltration considerably more challenging.
A Darker and More Immersive World
The leaked information describes Hexe as an exceptionally dark and violent experience, featuring dense fog that limits visibility and creates constant tension while exploring.
Environmental traversal reportedly places greater emphasis on realistic stealth movement, including parkour across tree branches deep within forests.
The game is also said to feature significantly improved audio simulation, allowing sounds to become naturally muffled by walls and environmental obstacles, increasing immersion and making it harder to detect nearby threats.
Mature Rating, Platforms, and Release Window
According to the leak, Assassin’s Creed Hexe is targeting an Adults Only (18+) rating and is currently planned for a June 2027 release window.
The game is expected to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a standard edition priced at $70.
Additional claims suggest the PC version will include Denuvo anti-tamper protection, while players who pre-order the game will receive an exclusive bonus mission.
Although none of these details have been officially confirmed, the leak has generated significant discussion among Assassin's Creed fans, particularly due to its darker tone and renewed focus on stealth gameplay.
