Heatsink Included Separately

The heatsink is included in the package but does not come pre-installed on the SSD. It should be attached before installing the drive in your compatible device, especially for setups that require better heat control during heavy gaming or intensive workloads.

How to Install the Heatsink

First, make sure the device is powered off and unplugged. Place the Crucial T500 SSD carefully on a clean surface, then align the heatsink with the SSD chips. Remove the protective film from the thermal pad, attach the heatsink evenly on top of the SSD, and secure it according to the included heatsink design. After that, install the SSD into the compatible M.2 slot and tighten the M.2 screw.

PS5 Compatibility

PlayStation 5 supports PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 NVMe SSDs (M-Key) and recommends 5,500MB/s or faster sequential read speed, with total size (including heatsink) within the PS5 bay limits.
