Rumor: Nintendo Switch 2 to be revealed tomorrow

Along with the release date

Nintendo's plan to unveil the Switch 2 has been leaked online, first reported by leaker Nate The Hate, who said that Nintendo is planning to unveil the Switch 2 on January 16.

The reveal is expected to be a hardware-focused trailer, rather than a game lineup reveal, and the lineup is expected to be revealed at a dedicated gaming showcase later in February or early March, a report that VGC has confirmed, as has Tom Warren of The Verge.

Nate the Hate added that the Switch 2 could launch in May or June 2025, a release window confirmed by VGC, and a new Mario Kart game is said to be coming with the console, followed
by Mario 3D in holiday 2025. Other games slated for the Switch 2 include Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

New Switch 2 leaks have been popping up in recent weeks, with CES 2025 showing off a notable prototype from accessory maker Genki, which Nintendo’s lawyers reportedly took notice of, and which the company itself has previously denied.
