Onimusha: Way of the Sword PC Requirements and Console Performance Details Officially Revealed
Capcom has officially unveiled the performance targets and PC system requirements for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, giving players a clearer picture of what to expect when the highly anticipated action title launches on September 25, 2026.
The newly released specifications cover all major platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, highlighting Capcom’s efforts to deliver a smooth experience across a wide range of hardware configurations.
Console Performance Targets
On PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, players will be able to choose between two graphics modes. Performance Mode targets 4K resolution at 60 FPS, while Quality Mode prioritizes visual fidelity with frame rates ranging between 30 and 40 FPS.
Xbox Series S users will also receive both options, with Performance Mode targeting 1080p at 60 FPS and Quality Mode operating at 1080p with frame rates between 30 and 50 FPS.
Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch 2 version will run at 1080p when docked and 900p in handheld mode. Frame rates are expected to target 30 FPS, with support for variable frame rates reaching up to 40 FPS in certain scenarios.
PC Requirements Revealed
Capcom has also outlined the hardware needed to run the game on PC.
Minimum Requirements:
• Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100
• 16GB RAM
• NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT
• Low settings at approximately 30 FPS
Recommended Ultra 4K Requirements:
• Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700
• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
• 4K resolution at 60 FPS on Ultra settings
These specifications indicate that the game is designed to scale effectively across both mid-range and high-end gaming systems.
DLSS and FSR Support at Launch
PC players will also benefit from support for advanced upscaling technologies. At launch, Onimusha: Way of the Sword will support DLSS 4.0/4.5 and FSR 3.1, helping improve performance and image quality on compatible hardware.
However, Capcom confirmed that FSR 4.0 will not be available when the game launches, although future support has not been ruled out.
