PlayStation at San Diego Comic-Con 2026: Wolverine, God of War Laufey and MARVEL Tōkon Panels Confirmed

PlayStation is heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with a packed lineup of panels, exclusive activities, playable experiences, and new details surrounding some of its biggest upcoming games.

The company has confirmed that its presence at the event will focus heavily on Marvel’s Wolverine, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, and God of War Laufey, with developers, actors, and creators taking part in dedicated panels across July 23 and July 24.

For PlayStation fans, the event could offer one of the most interesting opportunities yet to learn more about several major upcoming PS5 releases. Because apparently revealing one highly anticipated game at a time would be far too merciful to everyone’s backlog.

Marvel’s Wolverine Takes Center Stage

The first major PlayStation panel will focus on Marvel’s Wolverine and takes place on Thursday, July 23, from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM PT in Hall H.

The panel will feature several key members of Insomniac Games, including Creative Director Marcus Smith, Game Director Mike Daly, Narrative Director Walt Williams, and Senior Project Director Jess Reiner-Reed.

They will be joined by Liam McIntyre, who plays Wolverine, and Krizia Bajos, who portrays Jean Grey, as well as Marvel Games Executive Producer Eric Monacelli.

The session promises a deeper behind-the-scenes look at the game’s story, characters, and development process, alongside exclusive never-before-seen content.

Marvel’s Wolverine is currently scheduled to launch on September 15 for PlayStation 5, making this panel especially important as the game moves closer to release.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls Goes Behind the Battle

Immediately after the Wolverine panel, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls will take over Hall H from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM PT.

The fighting game panel will explore how Arc System Works and Marvel Games are building the title and establishing its place within the Marvel universe.

Participants include Game Producer Takeshi Yamanaka, Localization Director Amber Seitz, Marvel Games Senior Product Development Manager Michael Francisco, Marvel Comics artist Mike Deodato, and voice actor Josh Keaton, known for portraying characters including Iron Man and Spider-Man.

The panel is also expected to feature behind-the-scenes content and surprise announcements, which could make it one of the more unpredictable PlayStation presentations at Comic-Con.

God of War Laufey Returns with New Details

On Friday, July 24, attention will shift to God of War Laufey with a dedicated panel titled “Forging God of War’s Next Heroes.”

The session will run from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM PT in Ballroom 20 and will bring together Game Director Ariel Lawrence and Santa Monica Studio Head of Creative Cory Barlog.

They will be joined by members of the cast, including Deborah Ann Woll as Laufey, Christopher Judge as Kratos, Jack Quaid as Phranque, and Perlina Lau as Rue.

This will be the first major cast discussion since the game’s reveal, with the team set to share more information about its characters, development process, and performance capture work.

For fans of the God of War series, the panel could provide an important new look at how Laufey expands the franchise beyond Kratos while exploring new heroes and stories within its universe.

PlayStation Activities Around Comic-Con

PlayStation’s Comic-Con presence will extend beyond the panels.

From July 23 to July 26, visitors can head to the Marvel booth at the San Diego Convention Center for a Marvel’s Wolverine photo opportunity and exclusive giveaway items.

Available while supplies last, these include Marvel’s Wolverine Claws and a copy of the Marvel’s Wolverine Prequel Comic, written by the game’s Narrative Director Walt Williams.

Fans traveling around San Diego may also spot a specially wrapped Marvel’s Wolverine trolley across the city.

At the Omni Hotel Lawn, visitors can try a Madripoor Sunrise Slushie, take pictures beside a massive Proto-Sentinel head, and receive another set of Wolverine Claws.

Meanwhile, fighting game fans will have an opportunity to play MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, where Doctor Doom and Storm statues will also be available for photo opportunities.

A Major Comic-Con for PlayStation Fans

PlayStation’s Comic-Con 2026 schedule combines three major upcoming titles with exclusive panels, playable experiences, giveaways, and potential surprise announcements.

Marvel’s Wolverine will provide deeper story and character details ahead of its PS5 launch, MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls could reveal new surprises, and God of War Laufey will offer its first major cast discussion since the game was announced.

For those unable to attend the event in person, PlayStation has confirmed that it will continue sharing announcements through the PlayStation Blog and plans to publish full panel recordings after the convention.

With three major franchises sharing the spotlight, San Diego Comic-Con 2026 could become one of the most important PlayStation events of the year.
