Heatsink Included Separately
The heatsink is included as a separate accessory and does not come pre-installed on the SSD. It should be attached before installing the SSD in a compatible device, especially for setups that need extra cooling during gaming, file transfers, or heavy workloads.
How to Install the Heatsink
Power off your device and unplug it first. Place the SSD on a clean surface, align the heatsink carefully over the memory side of the SSD, remove the protective film from the thermal pad, then press the heatsink evenly into place. After securing it properly, install the SSD into the compatible M.2 slot and tighten the M.2 screw.
PS5 Compatibility
PlayStation 5 supports PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 NVMe SSDs (M-Key) and recommends 5,500MB/s or faster sequential read speed, with total size (including heatsink) within the PS5 bay limits.
