Heatsink Included Separately, Not Pre-Installed
The heatsink is included in the package as a separate part and does not come pre-installed on the SSD. It is recommended to install it before placing the SSD inside your compatible device, especially when using the SSD for gaming, large file transfers, or long operating sessions.
How to Install the Heatsink
First, power off your device and unplug it. Place the SSD on a clean and stable surface, then align the heatsink over the memory side of the drive. Remove the protective film from the thermal pad, then press the heatsink gently and evenly until it is secured in place. After that, install the SSD into the compatible M.2 slot and fasten it with the M.2 screw.
PS5 Compatibility
PlayStation 5 supports PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 NVMe SSDs (M-Key) and recommends 5,500MB/s or faster sequential read speed, with total size (including heatsink) within the PS5 bay limits.
